INTRODUCTION

Have you ever been amazing with the delicate Chinese folk art works? The courses will unveil the miracle of classical Chinese folk crafts, which may include clay sculpture, Chinese Knot and Paper-cut etc. Make a unique traditional folk gift yourself and have a attractive folk art experience.

Chinese Knot and Paper-cut are two of classical Chinese folk crafts. Purely hand-made, every Chinese Knot is woven out of one entire silk thread in various symmetrical shapes and colors. "knot", in Chinese language, has the meanings of reunion, friendliness, warm, marriage, love etc. In addition, "knot" and "luck, felicity" have the same pronunciation, so Chinese knots are often used to express some good wish including happy, prosper, love and no evil.

Papercut is an art form originally created in China. The first papercut can be traced date back to the period known as the Northern and Southern Dynasties (A.D. 386-581). They are described as being used to decorate plants and worn by ladies in their hair in form of butterflies and flowers.
